Freeze and Slice with Kontrol F1

The main new software feature of Traktor 2.7 is the freeze/slicer mode.
The mapping for the Kontrol F1 allows you to use the new freeze mode directly from
your F1.

The mapping for the Kontrol F1 allows you to use freeze and slice mode on any of the four decks. Furthermore you can use all 16 pads on the F1 to trigger up to 16 slices.

Installation tips and more info in the PDF from the download package.

Mapping made by Dennis Paulisch and Rainer Haselier

Tip from Traktor user mutantX:
Did you know that whilst in slice mode you can select two, three, four ... (sequential) slices as a discrete mini-loop (by simultaneously triggering two pads to define the range) .. and then subsequently you are able to toggle/LOCK the selected mini-loop in, by simply changing the focus onto another deck whilst still pressing on the 'selected range' pads.
Hands free continuation of the loop. Move onto another deck - repeat and rinse.

And on the return to your original deck focus .. you can either exit the mini-loop any-old-how ... OR ... if you choose to press either of those two 'mini loop' slice pads - just the once ... its triggers a rapidfire single-slice loop iteration of the furthest away single pad within the pre-selected range - until you give it one additional pad press and release it back to the original full-loop sequence.

This is utterly amazing to me .. is it intentionally so ?
I love this capability !
Thank you so much for this mapping !

hi there, i want to know how to get the f1 to trigger whichever slice i hold down on more than 1 beat? i.e.. i want it to repeat the slice in 16ths or 32s no just one for one when i hold it down. J

eg. the slice length not the slice count. It would be good to be able to hold shift and turn the encoder to adjust the slice length, and turn the encoder without shift to change the slice count
